Virtual Sims Municipal Recycling Tour

Sims Municipal Recycling (SMR), an emerging leader in the municipal recycling industry, has quickly become the cornerstone of the New York City curbside recycling program. SMR processes 100% of the metal, glass and plastic collected by the New York City Sanitation Department throughout the city’s five boroughs. In 2013, SMR opened its state-of-the-art materials recovery facility in Brooklyn – a facility that processes the largest volume of metal, glass and plastic in North America.

The virtual tour will feature photos, videos, and graphics offering attendees an inside look at SMR operations, New York City’s recycling program, and recycling in general. The event will be hosted live with time for Q and A.

Please note that: 

• The event is hosted  through Microsoft Teams. 
• If you are joining us on a computer or laptop, you will not need the Teams App or to have a Microsoft account to join. Simply select “Watch on the Web” and then “Join Anonymously”. 
• If you are joining from a mobile device, you will need to download the free Microsoft Teams App. 
• Attendee cameras and microphones will be off, but you will be able to type questions into the Q and A box throughout the virtual tour.
