About the event
Even though the majority of construction waste is recyclable, the overall recycling rate for C&D waste in NYC is not even 50%. Cooper Recycling is using custom engineered equipment and state of the art technology to maximize material recovery. Cooper is committed to the circular economy and to helping the City improve its recycling rates, and strives to raise the bar through outreach and transparency.
In addition to an introduction to the working of the facility, you will get a guided tour through a mile-long maze of conveyer belts, screens, grinders, magnets, and sorters. Proper dress is required for this tour: participants should wear sneakers or boots, long pants and long sleeves. Safety gear will be provided.
