About the event

Enel, a multinational power company and a leading integrated player in the global power and renewables markets, is a strong proponent of sustainability, supporting a just transition for the energy sector and a transition to an inclusive and equitable circular economy. Enel firmly believes in Creating Shared Value for the communities where we live and operate.

Hear from entrepreneurs, scientists, think tanks and convening bodies about how to address real on-the-ground challenges. We'll be looking at a vast array of conditions and landscapes where they’ve progressed understanding and collaboration to address challenges from decarbonization, electrification, resiliency, equity and public health. Some of the key themes we’ll explore address some highly relevant and timely questions:

  • What are the fastest ways to decarbonize cities?
  • How do we add resiliency for cities, businesses, communities and the grid?
  • How do we ensure a just transition that is equitable and accessible for all?

About the convening host

Enel has established 5 Sustainability Pillars for our plants and projects: Sustainable Design, Procurement, Construction, Operations and Decommissioning. As such, we believe circularity starts at the design phase to eliminate waste and pollution, ensure materials use is maximized, extending their useful life, and ultimately we’re able to regenerate natural systems. This holistic approach supports the achievement of our approved, Science Based Targets for emissions reduction and our Net Zero ambition by working throughout all stages of our value chain. We’ve established a global raw materials strategy designed to conserve resources, keep materials in use and maximize their value through proactive commodity management. During our 2021 Capital Markets Day event, we reaffirmed our commitment to circularity by increasing our target for circularity for the Group to 92% by 2030.
