About the event:
As an official side event to the World Circular Economy Forum, it is a pleasure to invite North American government representatives for a exclusive online seminar on how cities can become enablers of circular economy and a catalysis for local solution development.
The backdrop for this seminar is the Circular City Innovation Challenge created by The Danish Business Authority and City of Copenhagen with partner cities including New York City and Toronto.
Using the learnings from the challenge as a backdrop, this will be an opportunity for North American city employees, government representatives, and public entities of all level, sizes, and sectors, to explore approaches and tangible measures to bring about circularity.
In addition to city and government representatives, this seminar will also include the first hand insights from eight Danish startups and SMEs, who will share how legislation, innovation clusters, city programs, stakeholder forums and much more, have been contributing to their circular solution development and success.

Panel session – Circular Strategy Development and Implementation in Reality:
Highlighting regulatory and strategic decisions that governments are likely to encounter once developing circular initiatives. These include the use of stakeholder forums, citizen engagement, systemic change challenges, legislative changes, and behaviorism.
